Job Details

Teaching Personnel is looking for an outstanding SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Sidmouth and the surrounding area. The current opportunity is for long-term position which will continue into September and the new academic year. We are looking for passionate SEN teaching assistants who want to help children get the best out of their education.

The role:

Provide valuable curriculum support for the pupils. Work with pupils in small groups and one to one. Work closely with all abilities to keep a good level of attainment. Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and competent manner.

The candidate:

Important to have a positive and compassionate nature. Create strong working relationships quickly and effectively with pupils and staff. Be approachable and possess good communication skills. Have previous experience working with low level SEN, SEMH and autism.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
