Data Analyst Lead - Fundraising
Are you an experienced data scientist looking for your next challenge? Do you have advanced knowledge of analysis tools, modelling and statistical techniques? And is your technical skill matched by a flair for mentoring others, and making complex insights accessible to diverse audiences? Above all, do you get a kick from instilling new ideas and energy into a team, and seeing them take flight?
If so, we would love to make you aware of our fantastic role!
Data Analyst Lead Responsibilities:
An amazing opportunity has arisen for a talented data scientist to lead our Fundraising data and analysis team - taking a 'good' team and making it 'great'. As team lead, you will devise and deliver a brand-new Fundraising data and analysis strategy. Drawing on your wide-ranging experience in marketing and / or fundraising settings, you'll use your knowledge of cutting-edge data analytics to underpin the growth and increased sustainability of our Fundraising portfolio - helping to deliver £80m+ of voluntary income per year to improve the lives of people living with dementia.
Working with your team and external suppliers, you will introduce sophisticated new analytical methods, models and segmentations that unlock vital insights and promote a culture of continuous learning, curiosity and experimentation among our amazing fundraisers. Over time, you will work to build a three-dimensional view of supporters by triangulating insight from a full range of quantitative and qualitative sources. And in doing all of this, you will lead by example in setting new standards for the clear communication of powerful insights that push all of us to achieve more for people affected by dementia.
Data Analyst Lead Requirements:
You will have over 10 years' experience of working as a data scientist in a variety of fundraising and marketing settings, with demonstrable experience of delivering complex, impactful data analysis projects - e.g., Lifetime Value and ROI modelling, market segmentations or other predictive analysis frameworks. Your technical knowledge will be matched by your passion for your subject, and your skill at communicating data-driven insight will go hand-in-hand with a drive to support others to learn from you - and to keep learning yourself.
You will have outstanding commercial acumen - understanding the needs of the business, from individual Fundraising campaigns, right through to organisation-level planning around data integration and financial sustainability. You will be someone to whom others gravitate for an expert view, developing strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Fundraising and the wider business, all while making sure your team is functioning as efficiently, effectively and happily as possible.
About Alzheimer's Society:
