The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role of Management Accountant is to support and partner with the business and clubs from a finance perspective and to ensure timely and accurate reporting is delivered.

Key responsibilities will include:

Liaising with Club Finance Officers in relation to regulatory submissions

Analysing the regulatory submissions data and preparing general club financial analysis

Acting as key point of contact for club finance queries

Collating and reviewing youth development financial submissions from clubs

Preparing bench marking reports and associated analysis

Ad hoc finance projects for both the Premier League and clubs

Preparing all financial reporting for affiliated companies including preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounting and liaising with the external auditors.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with an impressive academic and career track record. An excellent communicator, you will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player and demonstrate the ability to manage various stakeholders. Other core skills required are attention to detail, ability to work to tight deadlines, advanced IT skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.

An interest in football and an understanding of associated finance regulations and accounting would be a nice to have but not essential
