An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Help Desk Technician to join the Coventry University Group on a 6-month temporary contract.
As IT Help Desk Technician you will be the main point of contact for users across Coventry University Enterprises responding and resolving technical queries via various sources (face to face, via email, telephone or the departments ticketing system). Working with a large variety of users this role will be fast-paced but extremely rewarding.
Working within a small team of IT Support specialists, your main responsibilities will be to respond to and log reports and requests in an appropriate manner, investigate faults and other requirements and where possible identify and provide a solution.
Providing a first-class customer experience, you will work closely with a wide range of users to identify the support they require, take the appropriate action to resolve or escalate and continue to provide feedback and progress updates through to resolution.
This is an office-based role and will require the holder to be on campus between the hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, however some flexibility may be required if the need arose.
Knowledge and Experience required:
*Understanding of servers, networks and the cloud to diagnose and rectify faults
*Strong customer service and communication skills
*Experience working in a fast-paced customer focused environment
*A passion for IT
*A full UK driving license - travel around the campus will be required
