Interim Supply Chain Finance Manager

3 months minimum contract

£400 - £500 Per Day

Function: Supply Chain Finance

Reports To: Supply Chain Finance Controller

Location: Belfast

Client: FMCG category market leader in Manufacturing

Role Purpose:

To drive the cost agenda within the Manufacturing and Logistics business areas
To act as the financial business partner to the Site Directors providing challenge, influence and insight. To ensure appropriate effective controls and processes are in place within the operation
To support local and national projects within Supply Chain
Business Partnering:

Ensure that finance have input to all major business decisions relating to their sphere of influence
Develop relationships with Supply Chain SLT
Challenge the Operational teams to improve performance via regular focused reporting of key financial and key performance information
Educate the Regional Operational teams
Performance reporting:

Deliver high quality daily, weekly and monthly reporting which enables the business to understand its financial performance vs budget/plan
Produce rolling forecast with sites, performing trend analysis
Deliver revised Forecast and budgets as required for the manufacturing operation, ensuring the operational team own their plan
Balance sheet reporting, understanding key movements and associated risks and opportunities
Provide relevant financial information to management on stock levels, stock usage and waste
Provide relevant financial information on waste, material usage, yields, bill of material accuracy, labour utilisation and recoveries within standard
Manage task within plan reporting. Lead the drive to deliver the plan through management of risks and opportunities
Ensure that Stock is tightly controlled via focused reporting, and regular stock takes. Develop reporting as needed
Ensure labour controls are in place and working effectively
Identify areas where weakness in controls occur and implement corrective action in conjunction with the Operational teams

Ensuring that the monthly accounts reflect an accurate view of performance
Provide financial control with all relevant backup required during the monthly accounting cycle

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications:


Qualified accountant with at least 3-5 years post qualification experience

Knowledge and first-hand experience of FMCG Manufacturing- site based

Up to date with latest accounting policies etc


Logistics site based experience

Experience of standard costing
