Love to Read is an established reading intervention programme which is aimed at Primary and Secondary children. This programme is driven by the shocking statistic that roughly 1 in 5 (20%) of school aged children are unable to read.
The aim of this reading programme is to improve reading skills with children in primary and secondary schools. The programme will offer training to any candidate and as such, make the positions of reading specialist teaching assistant available to people with little or no prior experience of working in a school. We are currently working with a number of Secondary Schools in the Manchester/ Greater Manchester area to provide teaching assistants to deliver specific reading intervention programmes on a 1:1 and small group basis.
The Role - Teaching assistant:
Supporting pupils in secondary schools with reading and English Full time - temporary long term for 10 weeks (Continued long term positions available) Delivering a specific reading programme with proven success Make a difference to children's reading confidence and behaviour as a result September 2021 start date The role will commence in September 2021.
