Business Analyst

Role Summary

We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Portsmouth as a Business Analyst.

The role will be an initial 6 month contract and will provide you with the opportunity to liaise with external Customer and internal Business Areas to understand their business and Information Technology needs and to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Production of configuration managed documentation in support of business analysis activities including meticulous analysis and comprehensive documentation of functional, non-functional, and user requirements.
Assist business functions to develop business process models, ensuring alignment of business and information technology system solutions, including translation of business knowledge into workable specifications and communication of them to technical team members.
Analyse the impact of changes to existing systems and the addition of new systems on the information solution environment, related devices, processes, procedures, end users, and data.
Be an integral part of the customer acceptance activities, working closely with test and release functions to ensure that solution acceptance criteria are met.
Be the primary point of contact and communication between the business and the customer. Key skills & qualifications

Experience in the Business Analysis discipline, including but not limited to Requirements engineering, stakeholder management, gap analysis, business process mapping, and benefits realisation.
Experience in the Agile Product Owner discipline and a working knowledge of the agile methodology.
Experience of Project Management principles and methodologies aligned to a Product Life Cycle Process.
Experience working in cross-functional teams.
Experience working with technical software teams, including design, development, and test.
Software Development Lifecycle experience.

Has a good knowledge of Microsoft office suite to produce stakeholder friendly documentation

Rate: £50.92 per hour (INSIDE OF IR35)
