Role profile for:

Compliance Manager

Role purpose

Responsible for ensuring the business is compliant with industry, legal and regulatory requirements. You will build strong business relationships with regulatory bodies such as the UK Gambling Commission, Companies House, Phone Paid Services Authority, and the National Crime Agency.

Key responsibilities

Ensure that the business is compliant with the Gambling Commission License Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP) in respect of both new products and existing operations

Liaise with Head of Information Security for ISO: 27001:2013, ensuring external audits are carried out in accordance with Gambling Commission specifications

Develop risk management processes to reduce non-compliance and breaches of licensing conditions across the business

Undertake gap analysis against regulatory requirements

Work alongside existing teams to check compliance with both internal policies, Legal and Gambling Legislation

Monitor the development of the UK gambling regulatory environment and assess the likely impact on the business of any changes and advise the business accordingly

Liaise and assist all departments and in particular training teams to develop procedures that comply with the LCCP requirements

Undertake regulatory audits at the Romanian office

Undertake quality, timely regulatory reporting including Regulatory Returns, Key Event and LCCP Reports

Liaise with Head of Information Security in respect of the internal ISMS audit and the Gambling Commission controls

Liaise with Head of Information Security to ensure the external ISMS is completed and the results submitted in a timely manner to the Gambling Commission

Take responsibility for ensuring that any actions, which arise from either internal or external audits, are followed up

Assist and contribute on industry forums and government regulatory meetings

Point of contact for all legal and compliance enquires

Draft legal documents for various departments

Conduct duties of Health and Safety officer

Skills and knowledge required

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Minimum 3 years' experience in a compliance role

Has undertaken, or is willing to undertake, the training program for ISO27001, Health and Safety, and Anti Money Laundering

Experience or an understanding of the gambling/gaming industry would be an advantage

Able to effectively manage risks whilst maximising commercial opportunities

Able to use own initiative, recognising where improvements need to be made

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to build effective working relationships and drive change across the business

Able to grasp complex situations and get up to speed quickly on changes to industry, legal or regulatory requirements and how they apply in practice
