Birmingham 2022 are looking for several experienced medical professionals to develop and oversee the delivery of medical services in competition venues for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The Venue Cluster Manager will be responsible for the selection, training and support of the Venue Medical Managers at games time. The successful hires will have the opportunity to participate in the development of various systems required for medical services as well as develop and implement policies and procedures, functional medical plans and the procurement of medical supplies.

Furthermore, we can support both long and short term secondments with start dates available from September 2021 through to Games time in July 2022 depending on your circumstances. Develop detailed operational plans for management of venue medical services for sport and spectator services.
Work alongside other colleagues in the Medical Services Team to recruit venue medical managers.
Assist in the procurement of medical equipment and consumables.
Assist in the development of role specific and venue specific training programs and practical sessions for spectator medical teams, athlete medical services and field of play recovery teams.
Together with Venue Medical Managers deliver the training in the venue prior to and during the Games for venue medical staff.
Support the development of emergency response procedures and Standard Operating Procedures to be followed by Ambulance Service and venue medical teams.

Skills & Experience Required


Registered with:1. Nursing and Midwifery Council
2. Health and Care Professions Council
3. General Medical Council

Experience of working in and managing a multidisciplinary team.
Practical experience in a medical setting with a demonstrated understanding of the inter-relationship between a wide range of allied health services.
A working knowledge of the healthcare system and structures within the UK.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Clinical skills in prehospital care, primary care or general hospital care.

Knowledge of the Sports Medicine industry including current science & medical practice.
Experience of working with an elite/high performance client group.
Start Date: September 2021 to August 2022 or variable dates depending on availability.
