Installations Team Leader

Our client is recognized as one of the UK's market leaders in the area of automated systems and materials handling solutions, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Installations Team Leader to complement their established and professional team.
Reporting to the Installations Manager, the successful multi skilled candidate will demonstrate comprehensive maintenance and supervisory experience gained through working on a range of special purpose plant and equipment, materials handling systems or automatic process equipment and will ideally be electrically Time Served with proven knowledge and experience of AC and DC controls and electrical design, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics able to work both autonomously and as part of a team at various locations around the UK as required.
In an environment committed to the highest standards of Health and Safety at all times, after initial Induction, Health and Safety and Winch Safety training, you will be responsible for a team of 5 installation engineers working on projects that range from £100k to £4m+ and will drive multiple electrical and mechanical installation projects to ensure on time and to-agreed-quality installations, whilst supervising a team of Installation Engineers and sub-contractors and assisting with labour allocation planning and the hiring of on-site lifting equipment and transport as appropriate in order to ensure successful project completion.
As the Installations Team Leader you will deputise for the Installations Manager where necessary for attendance at site progress and project planning meetings and will be responsible for the assembly, installation and test of specific products and associated equipment in line with the engineering specification and support the Project and Installation teams as required.
With excellent communication skills at all levels, you will liaise extensively with both internal and external customers and conduct PPM and reactive service maintenance on customer sites as required, and where necessary, manage the construction site for small projects in accordance with the requirements of the CDM regulations.

You will be qualified to at least HNC or above in Electrical Engineering and will be skilled in developing excellent working relationships with your team and customers respectively, and will be adept in managing your time efficiently and prioritising your work load whilst ensuring on-time and within budget installation project delivery. With proven success in bother supervising and developing multi skilled engineering teams, you will be a skilled problem solver with the experience to know when to escalate issues if necessary.
