SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
1:1 Teaching Assistant Grade 2 - 30hrs/pw - Early Years / Key Stage 1

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in an outstanding school in Liverpool.
The post requires a talented SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant who is flexible, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting children with educational needs to join their team of dedicated staff.
All applicants must be NVQ Level 3 qualified and have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with children who have specific needs which may involve personal care and lunchtime supervision.
The successful candidates will have:
Relevant qualification and experience suitable for working with children
The ability to work as part of a team of Class Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Lunchtime Supervisors
A flexible approach to working
A high level of patience and understanding
Enthusiasm and passion about working with children to support their needs and help them reach their potential
Experience of delivering literacy and numeracy interventions within a school setting
Excellent basic skills in numeracy and literacy with good spoken English
The role will include:
Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
1:1 work with students who require additional support
Leading group work
Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
