Are you a qualified Accountant looking for an opportunity to join a highly successful accountancy practice within outsourced accounts? Our client is looking for a bright, motivated individual to join its dynamic outsourcing team where you will be the main point of contact for delivering accounting and compliance services to a portfolio of clients. You will essentially have the role of client adviser to the portfolio, giving advice that would allow them to take decisions and plan, and to achieve their goals. Additionally, you will review statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns of others within the team to maintain quality.

As Accountant, managing the delivery of work to a portfolio of clients and reporting to the Head of Outsourcing, your responsibilities will include:

* Managing clients' expectations and delivery of up to date financials and compliance filings on time, every time through direct communication with clients

* Preparation and review of annual statutory accounts

* Ensure confidentiality of sensitive client data

* Working with other team members in order to meet deadlines

* Identify opportunities to improve/streamline internal processes

* Train others on accounting systems and add-ons

* Preparation of tax returns; corporation tax, VAT, CIS and personal tax

* Preparation and review of management reporting

* Preparation/review of P11Ds

* Reviewing work from our 'Data processor' prior to publishing this within Xero or relevant accounting system

* The 'go to' person for client queries

* Software support for clients including Xero and app setups/training

* Profit extraction planning for business owners

* Budgets/forecasts with clients

* Training Data Processor role

* Company secretarial services

* CPD and ongoing training and involvement with ad hoc projects

To be considered for this role, applicants will satisfy the following criteria:

* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA - an exceptional qualified by experience accountant would be considered

* At least 2 years accounts experience gained within an accountancy firm

* Experience of managing a portfolio of clients

* Attention to detail

* Open to learning new systems and processes

* Highly articulate with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, direct line managers and other team members

* Strong accounting knowledge, in particular the requirements of FRS 102

* Good IT skills - use of Xero and Excel essential, use of IRIS, QuickBooks and other accounting software would be an advantage

* Team player/social

* Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines

* Willing and able to train others
