As Data Centre Manager based near Slough, you will lead the provision off a first-class FM service with a focus on BAU operations and 100% uptime, utilising your own team as well as a large roster of sub-contractors.

You will hold responsibility for the financial success of the contract, customer satisfaction, compliance and on-site health and safety.

This is a 6-month fixed-term-contract, with a strong possibility of a permanent role after this period.


You will be working for a globally leading facility and building maintenance service provider, in the UK. They are an established company with an impressive portfolio of corporate clients across several sectors. Due to recent expansion on one of their flagship critical accounts, they are seeking a Data Centre Manager in the Slough/Reading area.


You will have ultimate responsibility for the delivery of the FM contract to the satisfaction of the Data Centre client; ensuring Service Level Agreements are met as well as other client requirements.
Management of an in-house team, including security, cleaning, support staff and a 24/7 maintenance shift team, as well as numerous sub-contractors.
Financial responsibility for the success of the contract.
Review plant and system performance, highlighting solutions and progressing continuous Improvement and appropriate benchmarking programmes.
Management of Capital and Lifecycle projects.
Ensuring health and safety requirements are met and that the contract remains totally compliant.

Experience and Requirements

Minimum of an apprenticeship or HNC in relevant technical subject. Preferably electrical engineering.
Previous experience as a High Voltage Authorised Person, as well as demonstrable experience with HV/LV switching.
Previous experience of managing demanding clients and multiple stakeholders, as well as large in-house teams.
A minimum of 5 years' experience within critical facilities management.


You will be joining a fantastic company whose business model is to focus on the training and development of their staff - keeping staff turnover as low as possible.

Depending on experience this job will pay the equivalent of £70,000 - £80,000/annum plus a car or car allowance and comes with a generous package
