Gifts in Wills contribute a third of RNIB's total annual income and half of all voluntary income. Legacy gifts are therefore critical to RNIB's ability to fund its work and achieve its mission.

After a period of extensive structural and cultural change across the organisation, there are new opportunities to reach our supporters and customers, increasing the number of legacy supporters in our pipeline and increasing the number of gifts in wills to RNIB. This will be enhanced by our new strategy, legacy proposition and integrated brand campaign.

We are looking for a confident communicator with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to join our collaborative, highly experienced and ambitious Legacy Marketing team at a very important stage in our journey. You will be responsible for effectively implementing and delivering a programme of legacy marketing activity to RNIB supporters and customers.

You will manage the fulfilment of all our campaigns, working closely with our fulfilment partners to ensure a consistently high level of supporter care and stewardship.

You will have experience of managing direct marketing to individuals, preferably in the not for profit sector, across a range of channels and demonstrate a strong understanding of digital as part of this mix.

You will work collaboratively with teams and colleagues across the organisation, with a focus on Fundraising and Marketing and use your influencing skills to manage a variety of agencies and suppliers - including marketing creative, print and fulfilment.

Your awareness of the external fundraising environment and a good understanding of the principles, methods and practices of legacy fundraising and data governance will ensure we maintain our high standards of practice.

This is a busy and varied role, and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities is essential.

You'll welcome the opportunity to work within a supportive team, building influential relationships at all levels both internally and externally to help increase our pool of legacy supporters and secure future income to meet the growing need for our services.

In exchange we offer a competitive salary, a stimulating and supportive working environment and a benefits package including:
  • 26 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), which increase with service
  • Excellent pension schemes
