Group Financial Reporting Manager - Kent (2 days remote working) - £50-60,000 plus good package

We are partnered with a highly successful global Technology business with extensive experience in designing, project managing, engineering and supporting blue-chip client projects. With decades of experience working on complex projects, both large and small and in multiple geographic territories, they've developed a reputation that is unsurpassed in their industry. Due to business changes, they seek an exceptional Group Financial Reporting Manager to join their team, based in the North Kent area but with some remote working capabilities.

The Position:

The Group Financial Reporting Manager will be tasked to ensure accuracy of Global financial statements, and efficiency of processes and systems. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation and ensure global financial risks are understood and mitigated. Group external audit liaison. Accountable to the Global Financial Controller for all financial control matters. Ensuring timely and cost-effective financial management through effective management and sound advice. Assisting the chief financial officer to ensure the company administration, financial affairs and assets are well managed, that costs are controlled effectively, and resources are fully aligned behind strategic and operational priorities.

What you will be doing?

  • Own the EMEA Month end Process
  • Produce the consolidated Monthly Group Reporting Pack for the Groups Board
  • Create, define and ensure adherence to company Accounting Policies with reference to relevant accounting standards
  • Be the Groups UK/IFRS GAAP expert
  • Liaise with and help own all Global Tax Compliancy (VAT and corporation) and ensure an efficient Tax structure
  • Work with stakeholders to have the correct Insurance Cover
  • Be part of the Groups risk management team globally
  • Own the Annual Group Financial statements preparation including consolidation, in addition to local regional statements
  • Ownership and development of Finance systems e.g. Navision / Concur. Ensure feeder systems (e.g. Time booking) meet Finance requirements
  • Develop, implement and monitor efficient and cost effective globally consistent financial accounting processes and controls
  • Clean Audit report with no significant or reoccurring findings

Person Specification

  • Qualified Accountant from a Big 4/Top 20 Firm
  • Technology and Services background/experience preferred
  • Strong Navision and POWER BI skills preferred
  • Understand latest Accounting Standards / Global Tax and Transfer Pricing rules
  • Be an Ambassador for Finance across the organisation and representation of the Finance Team externally
  • Led small and large complex change programs globally
  • Audit background and is proficient in writing technical accounting papers
  • Translating Commercial Contracts into suitable accounting treatment, and provide advice to organisation to maximise financial return
  • Develop and motivate talent within the organisation
  • Critical Thinker who can build robust global processes
  • Able to see the bigger picture but also know when to dig into the detail
  • Confident and assertive approach with a consultative style to ensure lasting relationships across the organisation
  • Able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines with accurate output
  • Advanced Excel and Outlook skills
