Book-Keeper/Payroll Administrator

Job Title: Book Keeper/Payroll Administrator

Job type: Full Time 09:00 - 17:00

Hours: Mon - Fri 9-5pm

Salary: £17,000 - £25,000

We are a looking for an experienced UK resident book-keeper with Payroll experience to join our well established Chartered Accountancy Practice in order to service a wide and varied client portfolio. This role would suit a candidate that wants to work in a thriving environment where you will be involved in all aspects of accounting from start to completion with some Payroll duties to join our small and friendly firm, based in Kettering.

Key skills will include
  • High level of book-keeping skills
  • AAT Qualified preferred but QBE will be considered
  • Minimum 2 years UK based experience in an Accounting Practice
  • Must be fully proficient in one of the following cloud-based book-keeping systems: Xero (preferred), Sage, QuickBooks
  • Payroll knowledge and use of payroll systems such as Moneysoft, Sage Payroll or Xero.
  • Basic knowledge of PAYE, corporation tax, income tax and VAT
  • Experience in preparing year end accounts is an advantage
  • Use of Microsoft Office and use of Spreadsheets is essential

  • Good verbal and written communication Skills, ability to deal with client queries
  • Ability to effectively prioritise work and time manage, whilst meeting varied time sensitive deadlines
