Part time 22.5hpw, fixed term / secondment until 30/08/2022
An exciting and challenging position for a Data Manager has arisen within the Cancer Clinical Trials team based in the Oncology department in Raigmore Hospital. This post will support the administration and coordination of a range of cancer clinical trials. The post holder will work alongside an established team of research nurses and data managers based in Oncology.
The post holder will assist with the set up and organisation of new trials and assist with data entry for a portfolio of different cancer trials run within the department. The role also includes keeping trial paperwork up to date, implementing standard procedures and working to trial protocols across a range of different studies. You will manage and co-ordinate a diverse range of activities and will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to use computers and databases for daily tasks is essential ,and you will be expected to use your own initiative in forward planning and effectively managing workload in a role that requires the ability to multi-task. The post holder will have a pleasant and professional manner and a flexible approach to working, with the ability to work in a busy and challenging environment, prioritising and organising workload within tight time-scales and deadlines. Experience in oncology and/or clinical research is desirable and current ICH-GCP would be an advantage for this post. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, has a flexible approach and who will work to a high standard of precision that is required in research.
The hours of working will be flexible between Monday to Friday
