An excellent opportunity for a Flat Roofing Surveyor with previous direct sales experience, ideally within the home improvement sector to join the team. You’ll be meeting potential domestic and commercial clients at their home or on site to discuss their flat roof issues/problems and recommend appropriate solutions from the company’s proven products and systems. We provide flat roofing services to the Domestic and commercial sector. As a manufacturer and contractor, we hold a unique position in the market and have a price advantage over many competitors

Based from home in Reading / Slough area. Travel required up to 2 hours from home and into London, plus to the company offices in Newbury as required
£30,000 Basic, £50,000 OTE

Who we are:

We provide flat roofing services to the Domestic and commercial sector. As a manufacturer and contractor, we hold a unique position in the market and have a price advantage over many competitors. With full PI insurance, we are able get involved at the design stage of new-builds and work with architects to specify a job. A sales system with a sales-support team has been developed and proven over 15 years, making the sales process quick and efficient. A Technical and Installations department is in place and now the Directors are looking to hand over the Sales department to a key individual looking to progress to Director level with a view of gaining a shareholding in the future.

The Flat Roofing Surveyor Opportunity:

You will be responsible for meeting potential domestic and commercial clients at their home or on site to discuss their flat roof issues/problems and recommend appropriate solutions from the company’s proven products and systems.

Outcomes:

+ Attend pre-arranged appointments.
+ Build rapport with clients.
+ Listen to and understand their flat roof problem and competently discuss potential solutions.
+ Being able to sell on value, not price (profitable sales).
+ Accurately measure the flat roof and take photographs, including a video of the site access points for scaffold and installation.
+ Fill in a survey form for the Estimating Team to be able to produce an accurate quote.
+ Write a roof report highlighting existing issues using the Company’s app.
+ To check the accuracy of the quote and sign it off prior to it being sent to the customer.
+ To update the company’s CRM system on a daily basis

About you:

+ Previous direct sales experience, ideally in the home-improvement sector.
+ Presentable and polite, with great communication skills.
+ Practical and willing to work outside in all weather.
+ Willing to go the extra mile.
+ Good timekeeping.
+ Own smartphone and computer with good internet access.
+ Able to work from home with a good working environment.
+ Able to operate on their own initiative.
+ A good competency level with using technology.
+ Good spelling and grammar in written form.
+ Willingness to travel up to 2 hours from home and into London
