You will be accountable to the Site Director for the operational management and leadership of Unscheduled care across the St John's Hospital site. You will be contributing to the site's recovery and remobilisation programme, as well as wider organisational priorities across Acute Services.
You will support the achievement of NHS Lothian targets and objectives by developing key relationships to enable collaborative working with WL HSCP and Integrated Joint Board, ensuring a cohesive approach to unscheduled care.
You will contribute to the Senior Management team on the SJH site proving leadership and visibility and supporting the planned and unplanned workflows associated with running an acute hospital, deputising for the Site Director as required
A registered clinician or hold a degree plus leadership/managerial qualification to Masters level or equivalent demonstrable experience in operational management
Evidence of management education and training e.g. Data analytics, people management, leadership development.
Evidence of in-depth knowledge and understanding of Unscheduled Care and the 6 Essential Actions
Evidence of experience of leading and implementing change and major service redesign which relates to improved patient and staff experience
Demonstrable experience of managing budgets, and developing business and recovery pans
