Salary- £45,675 - £47,621 per annum
WFH Opportunity (Some travel to South Yorkshire may be required )

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technology Security professional to join local government and help shape the delivery of ICT Security and Compliance in line with all associated legislation, standards and best practice.
The Technology Security & Compliance Officer will lead the regular assessment of the organisation and key partner organisations whose ICT services they provide against mandatory ICT security standards and accreditation such as PSN compliance and PCI/DSS requirements.

The Technology Security & Compliance Officer will act as the designated specialist on ICT security for the organisation and its stakeholders to provide an expert specialist advice service, in accordance with national and local ICT security guidance for the organisation.

The Technology Security & Compliance Officer will also ensure an on-going preventative approach both technically and from a people perspective, ensuring cyber security awareness is part of their toolkit. Responsibilities will also include reviews of new architecture and application designs, working with Leadership and Senior Managers should a security breach occur and ensuring policies and procedures are in place and current.

The right candidate will have experience of working at all levels, have strong up to date security compliance knowledge and qualifications, and have the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
