Job Details

Recruiting for a Permanent Finance Supervisor based in Montrose. The main duties will relate to the purchase ledger but the ability to step in to assist with any of the department's tasks including sales ledger, credit control, month end accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Job Duties
  • Raise and issue POs
  • Match POs to supplier invoices and raise queries to resolve issues
  • Validate supplier service reports against internal records
  • Prepare supplier reports for the monthly customer invoicing run
  • Assist with the preparation of customer invoices
  • All aspect of purchase and supplier management, including the recording and storage or vendor contracts
  • Management of petty cash and company credit cards, including the system used to record credit card spends
  • Account reconciliations, including maintaining back-up information
  • Processing overseas currency payments
  • Forecasting expense related items
  • Maintenance/improvements to the departmental process mapping

The successful applicant will also be involved with
  • Ad-hoc reporting connected to the purchase ledger that supports the business
  • Preparation for the financial audit
  • Preparatory work for the company budget

Skills Required
  • Previous accounting experience is essential (minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role)
  • Knowledge of a computerised accounting package; Sage or Xero preferred
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proactive and independent thinker that can make process improvements
