Role: FP&A Manager

Hourly rate: £35.55 PAYE or £45 Umbrella

INSIDE IR35

Contract: 6 months

Location: working remotely during covid and then based in Barrow in Furness

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced FP&A Manager to work within a leading organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual to utilise their expertise, within a fast moving, forward thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, working closely with Executives and non Executives across the business.

Monthly Management Reporting - Ensuring the forecast for all UK projects for key salient are understood, challenged and correctly reported

Responsible for the integrity of the General Ledger and associated controls

Production and management of the (UK) Integrated Business Plan

Cash Management - liaison with Project Accountants and Financial Shared Services (FSS), with challenge, to ensure robust forecasts - weekly, monthly, annually.

Working closely with Cost Centre heads/ Budget Holders within the function to produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts and other reporting including Profit & Loss, Variance analysis, Headcount, Rates (MOD and DOD) and Risks & Opportunities

Ensure robust financial controls are in place and managed in line with the businesses policies

Support the external audit to ensure compliance

Ideal candidate skill set:
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA or similar qualified Accountant
  • Working knowledge of SAP/ Hyperion
  • Previous experience of monthly reporting
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for data manipulation and presentation
  • Understanding of Project Accounting and the impact on the financials is desirable
  • Understanding of the MoD accounting processes is desirable
  • Ability to ensure a culture of safety focus exists within the teams
  • Strong business partnering expertise - ability to liaise with personnel at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional IT systems knowledge and experience
