This is an exciting opportunity to join the Brand and Marketing Team, which forms part of the Communications and Engagement team and sits at the heart of Citizens Advice. You'll be joining a high performing, creative team responsible for engaging key external audiences, including the general public, partners and funders with our work, using a range of channels including digital, events and print.

This role will lead strategic brand and marketing activity for a number of our funded programmes. The role's focus will be on identifying and engaging priority external audiences, raising awareness and driving multi-channel usage of our funded service delivery programmes.

Reporting to the Brand and Marketing Manager, the role will have a broad range of marcomms responsibilities, including developing and delivering marcomms plans. You'll work alongside the rest of the Brand and Marketing team, including the digital communications team and our visual designer. You'll manage relationships with our partners and ensure we're delivering against our objectives.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for an exceptional and highly motivated marketer with proven experience of developing and delivering timely and effective marketing and communications strategies which have enabled organisations to deliver change and achieve their aims.

  • be able to plan and deliver outstanding communications for different audiences and across multiple channels (spanning B2B, B2C and B2E audience groups)
  • be able to identity and recommend suitable paid, owned and earned media channels and tactics to reach desired audiences
  • have experience in planning and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns, including reporting on their impact
  • have exceptional judgement and excellent stakeholder management
  • be comfortable working across a large and complex organisation, and able to work collaboratively in a fast paced and creative team
  • understand how to deliver against complex audience needs and make data-driven decisions
  • Be comfortable making strategic decisions in order to drive brand and marketing agendas forward
  • have line management or supervisory experience

Why now?

This is a pivotal role in one of the country's most important organisations. During the pandemic we've adapted to support people who need our help. In 2020 alone we helped 12 people one-to-one every minute across England and Wales and our online self-help advice was viewed 47.7 million times in total.

But we're not stopping there. As we look to meet the challenges of the future, you'll play an important part in ensuring the organisation can innovate and deliver the best services for our clients.

The National Citizens Advice Operates from offices in England and Wales, with 4 regional offices based in Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Leeds, therefore all successful applicants must be based within England or Wales.
