Job Role Title: ICT User Support

Salary: Grade D/E (scp 9-23) £20,903 - £27,741 per annum

20% additional pay for OOH cover

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full time

Plus 1 week in four OOH cover when qualified (3- 6 months)

Your ideas and efforts will help us deliver Safer People and Safer Places. Working as part of an experienced and friendly ICT department you will help our support and operational staff to get the most from our ICT systems and applications.

The successful applicant will possess excellent client-facing skills and a good phone manner, be self-motivated, work well under pressure, and be able to follow standard procedures and instructions. Ideally you will have 1 - 2 years' experience of supporting a Windows Network, preferably with a medium-sized user base. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of working with at least some of: Windows 10, AD, Azure, Exchange, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IP Telephony, Office 365. Some experience or knowledge of Audio-Visual equipment will prove useful.

You will be joining an experienced and supportive team who will be able to help you maximize your potential across a range of ICT skills and competencies. We support a wide range of technologies, platforms and systems used across the service by a motivated workforce. This User Support Role will be primarily aimed at helping our staff get the best experience possible as they work with our ICT systems. Your work will be primarily structured around using our Incident and service request management system. Working across our organisation to help our users ensures every day is an interesting challenge. Supporting our diverse product portfolio and working in a multi-disciplinary team also providing good career opportunities. When qualified you will join our Out of Hours support team, providing cover 1 week in four, for which you will receive an additional 20% pay that is pensionable.

You will automatically be enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), this is a tax approved, defined benefit occupational pension scheme. Your contributions are based on your earnings and you can choose from different income options when you retire.
