We are currently recruiting for a technology led organisation that delivers turn-key solutions to satisfy the most demanding of industry sectors. They are a thriving company with exciting plans for their continued growth.

They are seeking a CNC manufacturing engineer to join their team to manufacture precision components to the required standard and on time to meet customer expectations. You will also be working to machine work lists for priorities, supporting the Cell Team leaders in mentoring and developing new team members whilst supporting delivery of the team's goals and objectives.

Key responsibilities:

•Set and operate CNC work centres adhering to job cards, verifying with engineering teams

•Machine parts/components in line with delivery requirements against agreed schedules and cost

•Monitor production process and outputs, adjusting machine controls where required

•Maintain schedules and documentation, escalating issues that may arise

•Conduct quality control checks on products to ensure all relevant quality criteria are met

•Stack and store products in accordance with guidelines

•Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery

•Report equipment faults to maintenance staff

•Contribute to continuous improvement activities

Skills and attributes:

•A flexible and collaborative attitude to teamwork and coaching others as required

•Positive work attitude with resilience in the face of setbacks

•Adheres to 'housekeeping' 5s', maintaining a clean work area, audit ready at all times

•Maintenance of accurate documentation in relation to quality and work in progress

•Positive approach to compliance in working practices, procedures, policies, H&S etc

•Demonstrable examples of dexterity

Qualifications & Experience Levels:

•Time served engineer or relevant qualifications. Mazak, Makino preferable

•Working understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S

•Precision components manufacturing to high quality standards

•Use of hand tools and calibrated measuring equipment

•Previous experience (+5) in a similar required

•Previous experience of relevant products and environment
