Job Details

At Cafcass, we support children and young people in family court cases. It's vital, and often sensitive work. That's why we rely on effective technologies to do it brilliantly. In this role, you'll deliver IT projects that allow us to do what we do best - ensuring the welfare of children and families.

As an IT Project Manager, you won't just have ideas. You'll understand exactly what makes a project successful. With your demonstrable experience in IT project management, you'll ensure delivery is achieved in line with cost and quality constraints. From inception to implementation, you'll plan and lead all phases of the projects. You'll also have a strong knowledge of delivery methodologies. This will be supported by your track record of successful project delivery under time pressures.

You'll have a good knowledge of current and emerging technologies, and confidently commission resources to deliver projects. The safeguarding of children is critical to our work, so you'll always ensure data protection compliance. Plus, you'll be proactive about monitoring project risks.

You'll be a proven leader, and a real motivator. You'll have strong organisational skills and be able to delegate. This is a highly visible position, so you'll blend management skills with excellent communication. You'll be clear and persuasive about the benefits, objectives and delivery process. And when you're speaking to senior staff and stakeholders, you'll leave out the jargon.

To join, a relevant practioner-level project management qualification is essential. You'll also have a degree, preferably in an IT discipline. Most importantly, you'll have substantial experience as a project manager, blending business, IT, finance and communication skills. And, you'll be a true leader who can inspire colleagues at all levels.

If that sounds like you, please apply now.
