The Engineering Manager based outside Carmarthen will provide the oversights, management and co-ordination of all Maintenance and Engineering activities to meet the businesses key objectives and requirements.

My client are an established manufacturing group who are going through an exciting period of growth and change.

Description

Based in West Wales as the Engineering Manager your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Ensure full compliance to the relevant legislative practices required for the safe and legal operation of the manufacturing site including all contractors and installation teams.
Control the planned maintenance programme in line with the business needs and relevant budgetary targets.
Manage continuous improvement initiatives, in conjunction with the Manufacturing Manager, and the Assistant Engineering Manager.
Identify & implement key project solutions which will prevent future downtime to ensure an efficient manufacturing process.
Co-ordination, budgeting, scheduling, planning and implementation of all maintenance programs in a safe & effective manner with a focus on improving safety and on-stream reliability, whilst increasing productivity and reducing maintenance costs.
To liaise with all engineering suppliers to ensure that the spare parts are in stock. ·
In conjunction with the Operations Manager and site Project Engineer, develop the Capital Expenditure budget. · Support the implementation of all new cap-ex projects within the business, to ensure safe & cost-effective installations.
Analyse production and engineering methods/equipment and procedures and recommend improvements in their efficiency, effectiveness and productivity. ·Profile

As the Engineering Manager you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Ideally Degree qualified or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
You will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and development skills
You will have demonstrable experience gained in high paced manufacturing environments
Strong Project Management experience
Excellent Change, Lean and Continuous Improvement background
You will be comfortable reporting into site and also group.Job Offer
