We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Assistant to join our "Visit Derwen" commercial provision. We have recently launched our Charity Shop "The Vintage Advantage" which is now open alongside our Garden Centre and Walled Garden Cafe. We are looking to recruit a customer focused, dynamic individual responsible for supporting our students, clients and volunteers and assisting the managers with day to day operations across the commercial outlets.
You will be experienced in working with people and confident in supporting in a busy team environment. You will have a strong drive to achieve great results and be motivated by the knowledge that you are making a real difference to the success of the Derwen College Charity. You will be creative, proactive and brimming with ideas to help make the most of the Visit Derwen experience making it a destination of choice for customers.

The role of Retail Assistant:
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent customer service, helping "Visit Derwen" to become the destination of choice for customers
General preparation & organisation and maintenance of shop floor areas
Create tasteful, attractive dynamic, imaginative & seasonal visual merchandising
Open & closing procedures
Cash and till responsibilities
Accepting, processing, lifting and carrying of donations and stock deliveries
Be flexible to work in all areas of the "Visit Derwen" commercial provision as and when required
Support students, clients and volunteers within the commercial outlets
Relevant Industry knowledge and experience
Charity shop experience desirable but not essential
Proven success of working within a similar role
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Highly motivated and tenacious individual with a high level of commercial accuracy and attention to detail
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
