Technology Training and Business Change Lead (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 8 Months

Contracting Authority: UKRI (BEIS)

Location: Remote

As an IT Trainer, your main responsibilities would be to:
  • Develop expertise within your specialist areas - or cover any content if you choose to focus on the use of learning technologies
  • Carry out training needs analysis
  • Define the skill sets needed to perform different roles
  • Carry out performance assessments to determine the skills gap between current and desirable learner skill levels
  • Design training programmes appropriate to the skills needed
  • Develop an appropriate mix of formal and informal development activities
  • Ensure that the learning environment and resources support learner needs
  • Design course materials and documents such as handouts, videos, manuals and exercises
  • Prepare the learning environment and resources, including setting up video conferences, intranet sites as appropriate
  • Plan and deliver training programmes in formal or informal modes
  • Support and coach learners using learning technologies to deliver skills
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and learning outcomes
  • Liaise with partners to fulfil the skills needs of an organisation
  • Maintain appropriate records of learner development and resource allocation.

As a change manager will:
  • Apply a structured approach/methodology and support change management activities
  • Support communication efforts in particular our newsletter and intranet site
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Assess the change impact
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders

You'll have relevant experience in:
  • Solid experience in technology and training
  • Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills
  • Experience of delivering training programs in virtual and face-to-face situations
  • Excellent facilitation and active listening skills
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Self organised and agile
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels in an organization
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Have a drive and passion to improve your own skills and knowledge especially in the health and commercial arena
  • A sense of humour!

It would be great to also have:
  • Professional qualifications in technology, training and ideally in a commercial/procurement field
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Hold a relevant professional qualification e.g. Train the trainer qualification, Prince2 or ITIL Foundation (V3 or V4), Change or Programme Management
  • Managing or supporting business and organisational change
  • Knowledge of e-Procurement systems and Salesforce
