Job Details

This is an exciting time to work in the Department for International Trade (DIT), a department at the heart of the UK's relationship with the global economy. Our role is to promote UK trade globally by attracting foreign investment. We support UK businesses to take advantage of the global appetite for British goods and services. We also assist international companies to collaborate with UK suppliers.
The Export and Trade Group within the Department for International Trade provides internationalisation support to businesses at a local level, driving growth and prosperity while ensuring no business is left behind. We do this through our network of International Trade Advisers who work with businesses daily; by identifying and promoting regional propositions that may otherwise not be prominent to overseas investors; and by maintaining strong relationships with local partners.
We are seeking an individual for the role of Senior Project and Policy Manager, who is excited by the idea of breaking new ground and testing ideas but is also well organised, disciplined and holds experience of running projects.
You'll play an important role in delivering the Government's levelling up agenda for trade and investment in the North. You will be a flexible project resource managing a portfolio of projects including short term sprints as well as longer term projects linked to DIT's FTA and Sector campaigns. Some of these projects may be setting up and testing the delivery of a new idea whilst others might have a strong policy element.
