A large national engineering consultancy with exciting growth plans for the future is looking for a Highways Engineer to join their team.
About the employer?
A large, multi-disciplinary practice, offering a diverse range of services to their clients across the UK. They house a team of Civil/Structural Design Engineers in the Glasgow office, driven largely from their place on the Scotland Excel Technical Consultancy Framework as well as other public sector hub contracts throughout Britain. Projects will consist of a diverse range of civil works including, highways/carriageways, bridges, flood alleviation and drainage schemes.
They are based in the city centre of Glasgow, with spacious, modern offices set up to promote collaborative working across disciplines.
In this role, you will be involved in the design of a variety of projects including roads, highways, drainage, flood alleviation and other public realm schemes. You will provide technical support and recommendations, which will ensure that projects are delivered to a high quality and within the set time frame. This role also involves managing client relationships, both existing and developing.
What do you need to apply?
• Qualified with a Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent)
• Extensive experience within a similar role
• ICE Incorporated Engineer status (IEng) or working towards this
• Software experience including Windes, 3D Civils or MX
• DMRB and NEC3 knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
