Finance Officer - Purchase Ledger
Midlands/East of England - home based with travel as required across our geography
Up to £27,601.36 per annum
Temporary - Up to 12 months

Purchase Ledger Officer required
Due to internal progression in the Operational Finance team, our client has an opening available for a Purchase Ledger Officer for a period of up to 12 months. You may have experience of working in housing or you may have a background in working within a large operational finance team in another sector. If you are now looking to develop your knowledge and join an organisation that actively improves lives this could be for you.
The operational finance team supports the Group in ensuring excellent service to their suppliers and stakeholders by ensuring their invoices are paid in a timely manner. They use Dynamics, UH and Promaster to complete this work. In a normal week some of the duties you will undertake will include processing weekly payment runs, rejecting incorrect invoices, processing remittances and liaising with their suppliers to help them deliver a successful service.
You'll need to demonstrate an ability to be able to process and organise large quantities of data working to tight deadlines and form working relationships across the purchase ledger team and with others inside and outside the organisation to achieve personal and team objectives.
This varied role will enable you to gain experience in working across a large and complex organisation and will also enable you to gain experience in a busy finance team using a wide range of Finance systems.
To be successful in this role you will ideally hold or be working towards your AAT or equivalent qualification and possess experience of working in a high volume purchase ledger role previously.
