Liverpool, with some travel in North West
£38,542
Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week
Our client is an ambitious and well-established housing group with deep roots in their three heartland areas of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.
One of the largest landlords in the North West, they have 1,500 staff, manage more than 37,000 homes, support around than 64,000 customers and invest at least £5m a year into local communities and life changing causes. A social organisation with a commercial focus generating income to drive their activities and deliver lasting change, they are at once landlord, property developer, commercial contractor and social entrepreneur.
Following an amalgamation and restructure they are recruiting for a number of new and exciting roles within the Finance Team. You will be working in a forward thinking, dedicated and professional Finance team. They're looking forward to two Management Accountants joining them, one in their Landlord & Foundation team and the other in their HMS team. HMS is part of their Group, a North West-based construction company and contractor, with an award winning portfolio, and a turnover in excess of £70m.
The Management Accountant - Landlord & Foundation is an important role in which you will:

Support the provision of timely, accurate and effective financial routine reports, and ad hoc analysis for decision support as directed, both for the Landlord & Foundation Finance team and for key internal customers.
*
This role will give exposure to all areas of Management accounting with the aim to give business owners and budget holders confidence in their numbers to meet their commercial goals.
*
There will be line management responsibility for up to two assistant accountants.
The Management Accountant - HMS is an important role in which you will:
*
Support the provision of timely, accurate and effective financial routine reports, and ad hoc analysis for decision support as directed, both for the HMS Finance team and for key internal customers.

This role will give exposure to all areas of management accounting with the aim to give business owners and budget holders confidence in their numbers to meet their commercial goals.

There will be line management responsibility for one assistant accountant.
To be successful in one of our Management Accountant roles you will:
*
Have a thorough knowledge of accountancy practice and be able to demonstrate experience of delivering monthly P&L (I&E) & budget monitoring reports, delivering month end accounts on a tight timeframe.
*
Have experience of budget setting, forecasting, ad hoc analysis and be capable of juggling multiple priorities.
*
Have previously held a commercial management accountancy role, ideally within a large and complex organisation / function.
*
Have experience of managing people, have emotional intelligence and be able to inspire and lead a team.
*
Hold a recognised CCAB accounting qualification (ie ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be currently studying towards full membership, and have a solid understanding of accounting principles.
*
You will possess good numeracy, consider yourself advanced in use of Microsoft Excel skills and have good overall IT skills.
*
The roles requires a determined finisher, problem solver, and a confident communicator, who is able to understand and convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
*
You will create and maintain good working relationships with budget holders and finance colleagues.
