Carbon60 are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer with experience in Building Services/Facilities Management to join one of the UK's most well know finance companies maintaining the main data centre for the business that is based in Newbury.
This position will cover mainly electrical maintenance both preventative and reactive across all equipment and systems, but this can involve some mechanical work as well.
Equipment this will be covering will include but not limited to:
Air conditioning systems.
Generators and back up generators.
UPS systems (uninterruptable power supplies)
BMS systems (building management systems)
EMS systems (energy management systems)
Low voltage and high voltage distribution networks.As part of this position the successful candidate will be part of a 1 week in 3 on call rota, this is dedicated to the one site in Newbury and will not involve travel to other sites.
Experience and Requirements:
Previous experience working within a data centre environment is highly advantageous.
Good levels of experience working on building services equipment (HVAC, Water, BMS)
Ability to work on both electrical and mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of fire suppression systems or security/access control systems are highly desirable.
