Randstad Student Support are looking for counsellors, especially with a mental health nursing background to provide remote support to students who attend the University of Salford, starting ASAP until September.
Full time work over the summer period
Remote working - no travel expenses!
Remote training provided prior to commencement of the role
The support covers two aspects:
Risk assessing high risk students - usually at risk of suicide
Check in calls with medium risk students
Must be a qualified counsellor or Mental Health Nurse
Accredited Membership of BACP or UKCP, or NMC membership with at least 1 year's experience
Must hold a valid in date DBS/be on the DBS update service
Must have good listening skills
Must have risk assessment skills
Must have up to date safeguarding training
Ability to maintain clear therapeutic boundaries and manage safeguarding and confidentiality issues
Ability to work under pressure
A commitment to following professional and ethical principles and guidelines
A commitment to the principles of equality and inclusion
Sound IT skills, including word-processing, email, online research and data processing
