Hays Education are looking to recruit exceptional Learning Support Assistants to expand our local pool of class teaching assistants in London Borough of Newham. You will be working across Primary and Secondary schools and Nurseries on a day-to-day basis all within Newham. We welcome all teaching assistants with various background and experience available starting now and in September 2021. The hourly rate is between £10.50 to £12.10.
About the Role:
You will be supporting pupils across Early Years - KS2 or KS3-KS4 with SEN requirements who need additional learning support as well as providing the teachers with class management support. You will be liaising with the SENCO, teachers and parents regarding the progression of the pupils. You will be expected to deliver small group intervention sessions as well as provide one to one support.
What you will need to succeed:
Have experience using various communication methods to support children with SEN (PECS/ Makaton/ Colourful Semantics/ Visual Timetables etc.)
Have 1 years' experience working in a Primary School or Secondary School as a teaching assistant
Have experience working with pupil with SEN requirements
Confident with the UK National Curriculum and all key subjects
Good communication skills and good English language skill both orally and written
Confident in all key subjects
Be patient and flexible
Using fun and creative methods to help students learn
