Tradewind Manchester are recruiting!

We are supporting a Day Nursery in Knutsford in recruiting a Teaching Assistant in the Early Years. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, then following an initial period working on a temporary basis (typically 12 weeks) this role could become permanent and you may be offered a school contract.

The school is seeking an experienced Nursery Nurse or EYFS professional to aid pupils in the who require general support. To be considered for this position you must have a proven track record of working with children in an Early Years setting, including knowledge of Phonics and the EYFS Programme; have strong interpersonal skills; be able to engage pupils and differentiate work according to academic levels and a clear understanding of phonics.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
* Have experience working with children of EYFS age

Hold a relevant qualification; Level 3 is preferred but not necessary
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
* Have the legal right to work in the UK

This role will include:
-Assisting with classroom management-Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
-Supporting the staff team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn

About the nursery:
The teaching quality at this nursery is good; staff assess progress regularly and provide exciting play activities that build on the interest and the enthusiasm the children have for learning. Babies are supported well to develop their communication & language skills, which results in articulate and confident children by the time they start primary school. Management is very proactive and evaluates its performance accurately; as a result, staff are regularly trained and upskilled. Children also learn a lot about their local community and are given regular opportunities to interact with and learn about the outside world.

About the role:
-Permanent Contract (following a typical 12-week temporary period working through Tradewind Manchester)
-40 hour weeks but can work part time if need be

-Work full-year, with 20 days of annual paid leave

-You may be required to assist with programmes outside the classroom and after school from time to time
