Randstad Student Support are recruiting Specialist One to One Study Skills Support Workers to support students with varying disabilities to help them succeed during their university education. As a Study Skills Tutor, you will provide one to one assistance to your students and work with them to create a tailored Individual Learning Plan (ILP). You will encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning and to develop their study skills. Your expertise in the areas of language and general study skills will be a key part of their learner journey and will help them to become more confident independent learners.

Dedicated Account Specialist to support you with all of your questions and concernsResponsibilities:
Ascertaining what each student requires support with specifically
Devising a study plan for each of your students for each academic year
Scheduling weekly support sessions with your students/timetable management
Submitting timesheets for each session, and ensuring they are approved by your studentsYou will work closely with Randstad regarding the needs of individual students, and to ensure that any concerns are addressed in a timely manner. You will be expected to act professionally and maintain confidentiality within your role at all times, sharing all relevant information with Randstad to ensure the best possible service to your students.
This is a specialist role, so requires specialist skills. You must hold a professional membership with one of the following:
Professional Association for Teachers and Assessors (PATOSS)
British Dyslexia Association (BDA)
The Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE)Further skills/requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Punctuality and reliability
Good organisational skills
Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
Accurate spelling and grammar skills
