This role is perfect for Registered Nurses (RGN, RLM, RLND), Paramedics, Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists looking for an office-based role whilst still looking to grow their medical knowledge.
About the role
We are looking to offer Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Paramedics and Occupational Therapists this exciting opportunity to expand their medical knowledge by carrying out independent health assessments on behalf of Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).
By using your medical experience and clinical knowledge, this role sees you carrying out medical assessments for claimants of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) in a dignified manner. You will not be the decision maker; however, your focus is on how a person's health condition(s) affect their day-to-day living. The great thing about this role is that it is still clinical and very diverse, you'll see a lot of different conditions and you'll be involved with claimants' journeys post-diagnosis.
You will be using IT systems to write up medical evaluations which help support the DWP's decision-making process.
Benefits include (but aren't limited to);
Time and assistance to complete the initial e-learning provided by the DWP
CPD funding for external courses and opportunity to partake in in-service training alongside other IPRS clinicians.
Clinical support and structure in place to help support and guide you.
Access to IPRS physiotherapy scheme
Recruit a Clinical Friend bonus scheme up to £2000
Membership of the company pension scheme
Westfield Health Cash Plan, providing you with a vast amount of benefits including money back on private healthcare such as eye sight tests and dental treatment, with the added bonus of discounts at over 500 leading online and high street retailers.
