Manufacturing Engineer, based in the Edinburgh area, working for a well-respected global Manufacturer of Power Solutions. Salary Basic £NEG DOE (Excellent) + additional benefits

Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Edinburgh region of Scotland

Products: Solutions for decarbonising commercial vehicles

Company: Well respected global Manufacturer

The primary objective of this role is to establish a brand-new motor manufacturing environment in order to support the global growth of products whilst delivering top quality, on-time, on-budget customer deliveries

To do this the Manufacturing Engineer will be required to:

* Ensure high quality in technical solutions and projects

* Ensure robust and stable machines and processes accordingly to specifications

* Focus on improvement of specified areas such as; safety, quality, delivery and cost Design, code & test software

* Implement lean manufacturing concepts

* Research and implement the newest manufacturing solutions available on the market within time and budget constraints

* Deliver required manufacturing process flow charts, PFMEAs, control plans and detailed work instructions for new products/processes.

To maximise your opportunity to create value and benefit from this dynamic growing and exciting business, it is expected you will already have experience in a similar role, having accumulated skills and experience such as:

* Mechanical Engineering education

* Production QMS

* Production development and support

* Lean manufacturing

* Knowledge and experience with electric motors and HV electrical test equipment

* New product implementation

* Process development

* Proficiency with CAD programs (AutoCAD, NX etc)
