System Test Engineer, based in the Edinburgh area, working for a well-respected global Manufacturer of Power Solutions. Salary Basic £NEG DOE (Excellent) + additional benefits

Position: System Test Engineer

Location: Edinburgh region of Scotland

Products: Solutions for decarbonising commercial vehicles

Company: Well respected global Manufacturer

The primary objective of this role is to build out the test lab, set the test criteria and deploy the test process for new, ground breaking electric motor and controller testing.

To do this the System Test Engineer will be required to:

* Design and implement test planning, testing and reporting processes

* Build, calibrate and maintain test rigs and test equipment

* Report and present test data to the engineering departments

* Offer diagnosis through test analysis to support the engineering teams

* Develop a keen sense of cultural and matrix style management in order to operate in this diverse and multi-faceted environment

To maximise your opportunity to create value and benefit from this dynamic growing and exciting business, it is expected you will already have experience in a similar role, having accumulated skills and experience such as:

* A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

* Experience working with automotive dynamometer equipment and documentation

* Hands on ability to safely work with heavy and high voltage equipment.

* Proficiency in Matlab Simulink, Labview, C++ (preferred)

* Proficiency in Solid Works, Pro E, or Siemens NX (preferred)

* Proficient in use of MicrosoftOffice applications
