The Investment Management Data Analyst will work within the Investment Operations team, working on deliverables to support the day-to-day processes of the Operations team in relation to strategic, regulatory and operational efficiencies within the Investment Management business.
The Investment Management Data Analyst will evolve over time, but in the short term, the Data Analyst will support the delivery of several regulatory initiatives; MiFIR Costs & Charges, RTS28, Transaction Reporting and SFDR and EMIR, as well as supporting the Investment Operations team in understanding both Regulations, in particular MiFID.
The Investment Management Data Analyst role will demand excellent investment data analytical skills and experience, as the individual will be responsible for collection, aggregation and manipulation of data and interrogation and building of databases.
An understanding of the regulatory environment is a key requirement for the Data Analyst as the scope of the role will include delivering projects to support UK and European regulation; SFDR, EMIR and MiFIR Transaction Reporting, Costs & Charges, RTS28 and Reconciliation.
The Data Analyst will be aware of different types of investment data including; transactional (financial instruments and cash), client personal data and fees, static and reference data. Knowledge of different asset classes will include Global Equities, ETFs, Investment Trusts, Treasuries, Corporate Bonds, Unit Trusts, Funds, FX spot and Forward.
The Data Analyst will work on delivering projects and process improvement and automation and change management initiatives across the Investment Management firm.
Engage with internal business partners of the Wealth Management company to understand and address issues raised to meet business requirements.
5 years' minimum experience working within an Investment Operations, Investment Data role within a Regulated environment.
Previous experience of working on Regulatory projects and initiatives specifically MiFID - knowledge of this is essential!
An understanding of various asset classes from an operational perspective - multi asset classes.
Previous experience and a good understanding of order management and portfolio management systems.
Data analysis, modelling and visualisation.
Advanced knowledge of Excel.
Advanced knowledge of the development and maintenance of investment related databases.
Proven project management skills including clear and structured process analysis and timely delivery.
Project Management experience and demonstrable examples of delivering projects.
Methodical and meticulous with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
