The role of a full-time Teaching Assistant has become availaible due to internal promotions. Experience of working with children with ASD and/or emotional behavioural difficulties would be desirable. You will be working in the classroom and implementing programmes of support designed to meet the pupils' needs.

Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and confident team player who is able to demonstrate previous success in working with children. You should also be able to evidence using your own initiative to support successful learning. You will have strong behaviour management skills balanced with a calm and friendly manner.

Applicants should have at least GCSE Maths and English grade C or equivalent.

Information about the school

St. Anthony's is a designated KCC special school for pupils with an EHCP with a main need of SEMH and/or ASC in KS1 -KS4. We are a partner school in Ksent (Kent Special Educational Needs Trust).

Though in reality, we meet a wide range of pupil needs including children and young people with high levels of social emotional needs, communication difficulties and learning needs. Most pupils come from a background of high levels of deprivation . To achieve positive outcomes this we place a great deal of emphasis on individual programmes within small group settings. Past Ofsted reports, parental feedback and other professionals agree that we are very successful with our pupils; our positive relationship with them reinforces this message.
