FPS are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer with Civil Engineering bias to join the our client's Renewables team based in Livingston. The successful candidate will bring their knowledge and skills gained in the civil engineering sector to join the successful Construction team to coordinate Electric Vehicle Charging infrastructure projects. This is the perfect time to join a growing company which has ambitious plans for the future.

Main Duties

Undertake site surveys, taking measurements, photos, asking questions of operations, understanding of process, assessing access and egress.
Write detailed and accurate Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise.
Supporting the sites' needs, material, labour, resources and plant.
Drive and lead procurement of materials through creation and review of bill of quantities.
Evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within the schedule.
Attend client meetings.
Liaise with clients.
Regularly reporting projects progress and updates to Senior Management.
Technical assessment of supplier quotations.
Programme management: adherence to programmes and report to management on any discrepancies.
Supplier management: Day to day liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors.What are we looking for?

Relevant engineering degree or HND, BTec, professional level 5 award or equivalent experience
Competent in MS Excel
Manage own workload to ensure priorities and deadlines are maintained
Ability to write detailed reports
Appreciation of financial cost control (supported)
Experience of MS Project planning software
An understanding various forms of contract (such as NEC 3) is preferable
Experience of Civil Infrastructure projects involving the excavation of buried pipework and / or electrical ducting and processes is preferable
Valid UK driving licence
