As the 1st Line Support Engineer, your duties will include:
Remotely supporting clients on hardware, software, and network issues.
Managing and maintaining equipment, management of networks, server administration, virtual servers & backups etc.
Building/upgrading PC components as and when required.
Providing technical support for Microsoft Windows Server (Apply online only), Windows 10, Mac OSX, iOS & Android.
Undertaking basic maintenance of school servers, desktops, mobile devices, network switches and peripherals (e.g., interactive classroom systems).
Administrating user groups and user accounts, including email accounts on Office 365/Google Apps.
Providing telephone and remote assistance to clients via helpdesk software.
For this 1st Line Support Engineer position, we are interested in speaking to people with:
Previous experience working within a similar helpdesk position or assisting customers remotely.
Some experience of managing & supporting Operating Systems such as Windows 10 & server 2016 upwards.
Previous experience with Apple Macintosh OS & iOS hardware/software, as well as experience with Microsoft Office 2016 & 365.
Previous experience with OneDrive, SharePoint & MS Teams would be ideal.
Network configuration, connectivity & troubleshooting experience, along with VoIP knowledge or understanding would also be advantageous.
Excellent communication skills both written & verbally, as well as being great at problem solving & using your own initiative!
A super personality - someone who is calm and level-headed in pressurised situation, but also game for a laugh and willing to throw themselves into the social aspects of the company as well!
