Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Primary school in the Gwent area who are currently looking for a Welsh speaking PPA Primary Teacher to cover a range of classrooms across both the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2. The position is a full time position to start in September for the whole academic year. In order to be considered for this role, you must be able to communicate fluently through the medium of Welsh.
To release colleagues and perform all the duties and tasks expected of a class teacher during PPA time;
Plan, prepare and assess and teach children appropriately to their needs
Plan for and communicate effectively with teaching assistants
Feedback effectively and in a timely fashion to class teachers
To maintain the highest standards of behaviour within a class and around the school
Maintain the positive ethos of the school both inside and outside of the classroom
Have the legal right to work in the UK
Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
