SEMH Teacher with MLD Experience required
£120 - £180 per day (MPS)
GSL Education is looking to recruit a Specialist SEMH Teacher who has experience teaching children with MLD.

The establishment is a Therapeutic and Sensory based SEMH school aimed at improving social, emotional and educational outcomes for children and young people across Primary and Secondary Phases.
The class you will be teaching will be an SEMH class with children who also have MLD. This is a mixed aged class with 8-10 Children and a Teaching Assistant to support.
Involves teaching children and ensuring that they have a good understanding of the subject matter before the lesson finish
To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of your subjects
To plan lessons and activities to meet pupils individual learning needs
To use a range of appropriate strategies and follow school policies for teaching, behaviour management and classroom management
To assess, monitor and record the progress of pupils in your teaching and give them clear and constructive feedback
To ensure that all children make great progress academically as well as with their social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties
The ideal candidate must:
Have sound knowledge and experience in working with children who present with SEMH difficulties in either a specialist or mainstream setting
Have proven skills in working as part of a team
Have MLD experience
Be dynamic and proactive and have strong behaviour management skills
Be a qualified Teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B.Ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS)
Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
Have two recent teaching references
