JOB TITLE: Electrical/Instrumentation Design Engineer
DURATION: 12 Months+
LOCATION: Preston, with WFH when projects allow
SALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS: Competitive
HOURS: 40 hours p/w, Monday-Friday
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Must have experience of working within multidiscipline teams engaged in the design and modification of process plants or material handling equipment
- Degree qualified and chartered
- Experience Overseeing Designs and Managing Contracts
IDEALLY YOU ALSO HAVE:
- Nuclear experience
- Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 61508/11
To design modifications to existing plant.
Provision of electrical / instrument engineering design to specified time and quality. Designated work packages will be completed to appropriate standards of quality and safety whilst meeting programme targets. Packages of work will include the development of designs from concept through development to final production hand-over. This will involve the generation of equipment specifications, tender initiation and assessment, detail design, commissioning documentation and hand-over documentation. Duties will include the reviewing, checking and approving of drawings and the engineering management of supporting personnel working as part of the design team (e.g. Designers, Draughtsmen).
The scope of the design engineering service required may include the design and modification of plant process instrumentation, control systems (typically PLC controlled plant systems and processes), through to local electrical distribution systems.
