Communications Adviser - Corporate Communications
Salary: £29,829 - £33,144
Location: Bruce Kenrick House, Kings Cross
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full-time
Hours: 35 Hours per week

Do you communicate well with staff and external partners? Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for writing? Are you organised and able to manage a range of projects?

We're looking for a collaborative and creative communicator, keen to help us deliver on Notting Hill Genesis' corporate strategy for 2020-25 and help the organisation get used to new ways of working post Covid-19.

Sitting in our fast-paced, innovative communications team, you'll build relationships with teams and departments across our organisation to help them better understand their communications needs and draw up detailed plans, as well as providing communications support to specific projects throughout the business. You'll look after the editorial process for the communications team as well as writing, editing and posting content across all our channels whether internal, external or on social media.

Working with other senior communications advisers, you'll also be responsible for ensuring internal communications activities are co-ordinated, and associated collateral produced in good time so that core information is provided to colleagues in the right way, at the right time, by the right person.

You will take the lead on the editorial process for our Connections residents' newsletter, running regular editorial meetings with Notting Hill Genesis colleagues and resident volunteers and managing the collation of content through to publication.

The ability to juggle multiple projects under pressure is a must. You'll be an excellent organiser with the ability to plan ahead, able to respond to competing priorities while providing a co-ordinated approach to all communications. Acting as a trusted adviser, you'll need to be confident in offering sound advice to colleagues at all levels. Above all, as a natural collaborator, you'll have the ability to forge solid relationships with a range of individuals and groups, including our various staff networks and forums.

We'll expect you to have practical experience of developing and implementing communications campaigns and the ability to explain complex messages in an engaging way across a variety of channels. Your excellent writing, editing and communication skills will be critical in supporting us to turn detailed programmes into compelling content, tailored for diverse audiences. The appointed candidate will join on the starting salary which will increase to £33,144 after successful completion of six months' probation.
