Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a learning support assistant looking for a new role in south Manchester ?

I am currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant for a small secondary academy in south Manchester

The Role

Teaching Assistant supporting teaching and learning in a secondary school

Five days a week

The role will vary depending on the needs of individual students but will likely include -

Supporting teenagers with literacy and numeracy and general subject knowledge

Supporting teenagers with additional needs such as autism or Asperger's or ASD

Supporting teenagers with moderate learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalcula

Supporting teenagers with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

Supporting teenagers with mental health needs and anxiety

Working collaboratively with the learning support team and with the SENDCO

Following the student's Education Health Care Plan and working with their multidisciplinary team

New Secondary academy

Opened in September 2019 - and will have years 7,8 and 9 by September 2021

Supported by an exceptional multi academy trust with outstanding schools in Cheshire

State of the art facilities for teaching and learning, capacity for 1350 and currently only a third full

Easily accessible by bus and car and Metrolink

To join us and be successful in this secondary teaching assistant role, you will need to:

a minimum of six week's experience of working with children supported by references
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
Have the legal right to work in the UK
